Has the time change taken a toll on your sleep schedule? Here are a few tips to wake up
and feel great!
Go to bed earlier
It’s always a good idea to go to bed earlier! Treat yourself to an early night every once in a while.
Stick to a sleep schedule
Try to get around 7-8 hours of sleep. Try and wake up around the same time, even on weekends if you can!
Stay hydrated
Experts say to drink half your weight in ounces every day!
Watch a little TV during breakfast
It is good to be exposed to bright light for at least 20 minutes. The light from the TV can help wake you up. Another naturalistic alternative is to have 20 minutes of sun exposure.
Help a friend out
Have a little convo with your roommate…careful not to start the day with an argument!
Don’t hit the snooze
Either sleep or wake up; snoozing just wastes valuable time!
Work out
Working out increases endorphins and promotes feelings of accomplishment. It can help you feel mentally prepared for the long day ahead.
Eat breakfast
Food is fuel so eat something that is filling and healthy. Don’t skip out on this vital meal and deprive your body of the energy it needs!
Trick yourself
Tell yourself you are a morning person…you will soon believe it!
